Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is seeking Fleet Mechanics to keep our fleet of mixer trucks and heavy equipment running safely and efficiently. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and work with the operations team to minimize downtime.

Entry-level candidates are welcome with on-the-job training; CDL preferred; high school diploma required. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth within a nationwide company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/technical certification in diesel engine repair preferred.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
• Willingness to complete SRM pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on mixer trucks and heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Rebuild/replace major components such as engine heads, blocks, starters, transmissions.
• Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance and repairs, minimizing downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies in workshop and on job sites.
• Keep accurate maintenance records using company systems.
• Stay updated on diesel engine repair techniques through ongoing learning.
