Job summary

GFL - Sewer Technologies Division is seeking a Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain our Diesel and CNG fleet. The role requires inspecting brake systems, engines, emissions, steering, and wheel bearings, plus test driving trucks to verify repairs are complete and safe.

The candidate will perform electronic diagnostics, repair electrical and hydraulic systems, and conduct DOT inspections while adhering to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and other related state and federal regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization and with customers and external vendors.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain GFL’s Diesel and CNG fleet under supervision.
• Complete basic inspection of brake systems, engine components, emission systems, steering mechanisms and wheels.
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
• Perform standard electronic diagnostics and repair electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Perform DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
