Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Diesel/CNG Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain the company’s fleet in a safe and road-ready condition. You’ll work under shop leadership with senior mechanics, perform inspections, and ensure DOT compliance.

The role requires 3+ years of diesel/CNG experience, willingness to obtain a CDL if not already held, and familiarity with diagnostic software. On-site position with emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience.
• CDL (Class A or B) CDL preferred; willingness to obtain within six months.
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain Diesel and CNG fleet under supervision.
• Complete basic inspection of brakes, engines, emissions and steering components.
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
• Perform electronic diagnostics and repair electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
