Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking an experienced fleet maintenance technician to diagnose, repair and maintain our Diesel and CNG trucks. You will inspect brakes, engines, emissions, steering, wheel bearings and other systems to ensure optimal operation.

The role requires ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and safety rules, with experience in diagnostic software. CDL A/B preferred, with ASE certifications adding value. Join a team committed to safety and continuous training.

Qualifications

• DOT/OSHA and related regs knowledge.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret safety and maintenance documents.
• Experience using diagnostic software preferred.
• CDL A or B preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain Diesel and CNG fleet under supervision.
• Inspect brakes, engines, emissions, steering, wheels for safe operation.
• Test drive trucks to identify malfunctions.
• Perform electrical and hydraulic system diagnostics and repairs.
• Conduct DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
• Complete reports, work orders, and order parts as required.
• Perform scheduled work per supervision and maintain shop area.
• Ensure safe working conditions and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in training to increase skills and knowledge.
