Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management in West Dundee, IL is seeking a Fleet Diesel Mechanic B to perform repairs and maintenance on trailer and tractor equipment. The role requires CDL/DOT readiness, own tools, and the ability to lift heavy weights.

The shift is full-time midday, with hourly pay between $25.00 and $29.00 plus incentive pay for CDL/B certification. Benefits include PTO, holidays, retirement options, health/dental/vision plans, and uniform/tool allowances.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of related experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR under DOT rules.
• Ability to frequently lift/push/pull weights over 50 lbs (up to 100+ lbs).
• Technical School Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and perform routine maintenance on fleet equipment.
• Document repairs and parts used in AssetWorks.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems using tools/Manuals.
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA and Reyes safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Drive Reyes vehicles as required and maintain qualification files.
• Perform other projects or duties as assigned.

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Fleet Diesel Mechanic B to help with repairs and maintenance on trailer/tractor equipment at our facility shop in West Dundee, IL.

Shift: Full-Time Midday-Monday-Friday 12:00PM-8:30PM

Pay: $25.00-$29.00/HR based on experience/qualifications

Incentive Pay: $1.00 additionally with active license CDL A or B-Not required for role

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accurately inspecting, repairing and completing routine preventative maintenance of Fleet Equipment, including standard component inspections and repairs.
• Complete necessary documentation for repairs and maintenance while maintaining accurate records of work performed, parts used, and repairs/inspections completed through the online AssetWorks system.
• Vehicles and Fleet Equipment.
• Learn and assist diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices.
• This position requires driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 2 plus years of related experience
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
