Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management's Martin Brower shop in Lebanon, IL, is hiring a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A to diagnose, repair and service tractors, trailers, refrigeration units and related components.

This role offers a Sunday–Wednesday night shift (3:30pm–2:00am) with pay of $31.00–$35.00 per hour, requires a High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of experience, own tools, and a valid CDL preferred. Benefits include PTO, retirement plans, insurance, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of related experience.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record per DOT regulations.
• Valid CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts).
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems using diagnostic technology/software when applicable.
• Complete complex inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA and Reyes Fleet Management standards, ensuring safety and proper tool use.
• May require driving Reyes Family of Businesses vehicules, driver qualification file maintenance, and DOT/compliance checks.
• Some travel may be required.

Position Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts)
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review
• Some travel may be required
• Other projects or duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 3 plus years of related experience
• Must possess own tools
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Valid CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
