Job summary

A fleet management company in McCook, IL is seeking a Diesel Mechanic B for full-time 3rd shift work. Qualifications

Job description

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Diesel Mechanic B to help with repairs and maintenance on trailer/tractor equipment at our facility shop in McCook, IL.

Shift: Full-Time 3rd Shift - Wednesday-Saturday 10:00PM-8:30AM OFF Sunday-Tuesday!

Pay: Starts at $25.00-$30.00/HR + additional $2.00 per hour for shift differential

**Additional CDL Incentive Pay ($1.00 with active CDL A or B license)**

Position Responsibilities

• The Fleet Technician focuses on the preventative maintenance of the fleet diesel equipment, identifying root causes of basic failures to perform repairs as needed
• As the Fleet Technician, you will complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance
• You will inspect brake systems to ensure that machines are in proper operating condition and make sure that equipment has required licensing and registration
• You will use hand tools and power tools such as screwdrivers and perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery
• You will examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 1 to 2 plus years of related experience
• Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds
• Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
