DJ's Landscape Management in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Fleet Mechanic for the 2nd shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM). You’ll be the go-to expert for diesel equipment, from two-cycle engines to Class A trucks, loaders, and trailers, with continual opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot, repair to front end suspension, tires, and brakes within skill set and company capabilities.

Job Id:3264 # of Openings:1 Fleet Mechanic We are looking for a mechanic who can work 2nd Shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) and that likes variety, adapting, and fixing problems. We self-service a full range of equipment from 2-cycle engines to Class A trucks, loaders, and trailers. No two days are the same! In this important role, you’ll be the expert our team members go to for help with their dieselequipment, as your hard work and expertise directly allows our company to be successful. Requirements

• Troubleshoot, recommend, repairs to front end suspension, change tires, brakes, and perform preventative maintenance and DOT's within skill set and company capabilities.
• Complete preventative maintenance, dieseland inspect equipment for repair needs.
• Support operations through repairs in the field, communication, and education of operators when possible.
• During the winter, participate in rotating shift schedule to support overnight snow operations.
• Keep track of repairs, time, and parts on our mobile app.
• Take ownership of organization of stock-parts, tools, and shop areas.
• Self-starter, able to prioritize, solve problems & operate without direct supervision.
• A Chauffer’s Driver's License and clean driving record. DJ’s will assist with obtaining chauffer designation if needed.
• Smart Phone to use Company app. to track repair information
• Physical requirements: Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, reach.
• Ability to push/pull.
• Ability to lift/carry 50lbs.
• Ability to grasp tools.
• Able to do work involving repetitive motion.
• Able to work outdoors and in noisy environments.
