Position Overview

Responsible for repairing, maintaining, overhauling, and servicing small engines, heavy equipment, and vehicles.

Essential Duties

• Perform skilled maintenance and repairs on various equipment
• Weld as needed
• Overhaul engines, transmissions, brakes, and other assemblies
• Interpret manuals and specifications for repairs
• Respond to roadside calls and coordinate towing
• Diagnose and repair large equipment including diesel-powered vehicles
• Ensure safety and quality standards
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance
• Monitor equipment for safety compliance
• Complete reports and work orders
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Promote safety and environmental practices
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; relevant experience considered
• At least 1 year of hands-on mechanic experience; 3-5 years preferred
• Welding experience a plus
• Landscaping knowledge is a bonus
