Job description

Triad Service Center is seeking a qualified Field Technician for service and repair of light industrial equipment in the Baltimore, MD area. Equipment typically includes floor scrubbers, sweepers, handicapped carts, checkout lanes, paint shakers, and other commercial customer equipment found in large retail and industrial locations. Technicians will also install and service grease containment units used with deep fryers. This position requires the use of a company vehicle regionally and a valid, good standing driver’s license.

The position is primarily Monday-Friday, averaging 40 hours per week. A vehicle, laptop, cell phone, and PAID TRAINING are provided.

Starting Pay Range: $18-$25

Our Technicians' Typical Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities:

  1. Have strong mechanical aptitude to diagnose, repair, and complete service calls and scheduled PMs on light industrial equipment.
  2. Provide excellent customer service by performing preventative maintenance and repairs on customer equipment on location.
  3. Visually inspect, test, and listen to machines and equipment to identify malfunctions. Dismantle machine parts to detect wear, misalignment, or issues.
  4. Install new or repaired parts; clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, belts, and other machinery components.
  5. Organize repairs and PMs by scheduling in similar locations when possible. Keep records and report work orders, parts, supplies, and daily activities.
  6. Submit daily work orders, timecards, parts orders, and all required paperwork. Handle company equipment responsibly and follow guidelines for company vehicles.

Additional Information:

  • Travel up to an average of 300 miles per day.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Income is based on an hourly pay structure, with adjustments for commute time. Be aware of exposure to moving parts, electrical hazards, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
  • Work primarily Monday through Friday. Weekend and after-hours work may be required with emergency rates. On-call ends at 11 am EST on weekends and holidays.
  • Observe safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and use equipment properly.
  • Maintain excellent attendance, respond promptly to service requests, follow instructions, and ensure compliance with regulations. Maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving skills.
