Field Service Technician/Industrial Mechanic

Triad Service Center is seeking a qualified Field Technician for service and repair of light industrial equipment in the Baltimore, MD area. Equipment includes floor scrubbers, sweepers, handicapped carts, checkout lanes, paint shakers, and other commercial customer equipment found in large retail/industrial locations. Technicians will also install and service grease containment units used with deep fryers. This position utilizes a company vehicle regionally and requires a valid, good-standing driver’s license.

The position is primarily Monday-Friday, averaging 40 hours per week. Company-provided vehicle, laptop, cell phone, and paid training are included.

Starting Pay Range: $18-$25

Technicians' Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Diagnose, repair, and perform scheduled preventive maintenance on light industrial equipment, demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude.
2. Provide excellent customer service through on-location maintenance and repairs.
3. Inspect, test, and listen to machines to identify malfunctions; dismantle parts to detect wear or misalignment.
4. Install new or repaired parts; clean and lubricate machinery components.
5. Organize repairs and preventive maintenance by scheduling in similar locations; maintain accurate records and reports.
6. Complete work orders, daily agendas, parts orders, and other paperwork diligently; treat company equipment with care and follow guidelines.

Additional Information:

• Travel up to 300 miles per day.
• Lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly; up to 100 pounds frequently.
• Work involves exposure to moving parts, electrical hazards, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
• Work schedule is Monday through Friday; weekend and after-hours work possible with emergency pay rates. On-call ends at 11 am EST on weekends and holidays.
• Adhere to safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain dependable attendance, respond promptly to service requests, follow instructions, and uphold safe driving and regulatory standards.
