World Group in Columbus, OH seeks a Fleet Manager to join our ContainerPort Group unit and lead a growing fleet of owner-operators. You will be the link between drivers and customers, ensuring on-time service and productive operations.

The role emphasizes maintaining strong relationships with contractors, coordinating loads, and enforcing safety and regulatory compliance in a dynamic environment. Competitive compensation and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of intermodal/container transportation experience.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Experience working with fleet of contractors/owner-operators.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to prioritize and execute time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Computerized dispatch skills (TMS) and strong MS Office proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership and supervise owner-operators in the fleet.
• Monitor delivery performance, fleet profitability and regulatory compliance.
• Assign equipment as needed to optimize operations.
• Maximize efficiency and profitability of deliveries.
• Oversee load distribution among contractors.
• Plan delivery orders to optimize load drop-offs and pickups.
• Coordinate with Customer Success to accept/decline loads.
• Negotiate contractor rates outside ICOA when needed.
• Develop relationships with contractors to improve performance and retention.
• Resolve disputes involving contractors across customers/terminals/rail.
• Monitor contractor compliance with DOT and other regulations.
• Coordinate required training for the contractor fleet.
