Job summary

ContainerPort Group, a World Group company, seeks a Fleet Manager for our Minneapolis, MN terminal. You will lead a fleet of owner-operators, build trusted relationships with drivers and customers, and support day-to-day operations to maximize productivity and ensure on-time service.

The role requires 2-5 years in intermodal transportation, knowledge of DOT regulations, and strong communication. You will negotiate rates, supervise loads, and coordinate with Customer Success to deliver reliable

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of intermodal/container transportation experience.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Experience with fleet of contractors/owner operators.
• Exemplary customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with customers and owner-operators.
• Strategic thinker in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to prioritize and execute time-sensitive tasks.
• Computerized dispatch skills (TMS).
• Strong computer skills with MS Outlook, Excel, Teams, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervise a fleet of owner-operators.
• Monitor and ensure effective delivery performance and fleet profitability.
• Assign equipment as needed.
• Maximize efficiency and profitability of every delivery.
• Oversee fair distribution of loads among contractors.
• Plan and execute order of deliveries for efficient loads.
• Coordinate loads with Customer Success team.
• Negotiate rates with contractors outside the ICOA.
• Develop relationships with contractors to improve performance and retention.
• Resolve disputes involving contractors.
• Monitor contractor compliance with DOT regulations and hours of service.
• Coordinate required training for fleet of contractors.
