Job summary

World Group seeks a Fleet Manager for our new Jacksonville, FL terminal. You will serve as the direct link between drivers and customers, building trust and supporting day-to-day operations to maximize on-time service and productivity.

You will lead owner-operators, oversee compliance, negotiate rates, and develop contractor relationships to sustain performance and retention, in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years intermodal/container transportation experience.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strategic thinker with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to prioritize time-sensitive tasks and manage deadlines.
• Experience using a Transport Management System (TMS) for dispatch.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Teams and Word.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervise our fleet of owner-operators.
• Monitor delivery performance, fleet profitability and regulatory compliance.
• Assign equipment as needed and optimize load distribution.
• Plan deliveries for efficient load drop-offs and pick-ups.
• Coordinate with Customer Success and accept/decline loads.
• Negotiate rates with contractors outside ICOA.
• Develop relationships with contractors to improve performance and retention.
• Resolve disputes involving contractors across customer/terminal/rail.
• Monitor DOT compliance and related safety regulations.
• Coordinate required training for the fleet.
