Job summary

ContainerPort Group, a World Group company, seeks a Fleet Manager for its growing Atlanta, GA terminal. You will serve as the link between drivers and customers, building trusted relationships and supporting day-to-day operations to ensure on-time service.

You will lead owner-operators, optimize loads, monitor performance, and negotiate rates while ensuring DOT compliance and safety. Join a growing team and help maximize productivity.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of intermodal/container transportation experience.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Experience working with fleet of contractors/owner operators.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time-sensitive tasks.
• Proficient with dispatch software (TMS).
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervise a fleet of owner-operators.
• Monitor delivery performance, fleet profitability and regulatory compliance.
• Assign equipment as needed and optimize load distribution.
• Maximize efficiency and profitability of every delivery.
• Oversee equitable load distribution among contractors.
• Plan delivery order for efficient load drops and pickups.
• Coordinate with Customer Success and decide on loads.
• Negotiate rates with contractors outside ICOA.
• Foster relationships with contractors to improve performance and retention.
• Resolve disputes among customers, terminals and rail.
• Monitor contractor compliance regarding DOT rules and safety.
• Coordinate required training for the fleet.
