Job summary

TMC Transportation is seeking a Fleet Manager for our Alvarado, Texas office. This full-time role manages 35-40 drivers, aiming to meet pickup/delivery requirements, maximize revenue, and sustain an excellent safety record.

Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 7am–4:30pm. A four-year degree in Transportation/Logistics and strong leadership, planning, and communication skills are required to excel in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree, preferably in Transportation and Logistics.
• Proficiency with computer applications and keyboard.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment and tolerate stress.
• Ability to plan and organize, attention to detail, problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review driver check calls to determine driver location and delivery times.
• Dispatch loads to drivers with routing and fuel information.
• Call customers to obtain directions and schedule loading/delivery appointments.
• Promote safety and enforce company policies across operations.
• Maintain records pertaining to driver performance and productivity.
• Resolve conflicts related to hometime, pay, equipment, and load assignments.
