Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B in Minnesota to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, and HVAC. Under supervision, you’ll diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support drivers as they run routes.

The role offers training on new technologies, a regular shift, and opportunities for growth with competitive wages and benefits. A valid license is required.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Experience with maintenance on Class 1-5 and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• Commercial Driver's License is a plus but not required.
• 3-5 years of technician experience or recent automotive school completion within 3 months.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge and moderate skill proficiency in vehicle components and systems for preventative and repair maintenance, on-site and on the road.
• Chassis components repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies and associated hydraulic/electrical systems and air/braking systems.
• Light engine repair and maintenance.
• Suspension, drivetrain and steering systems.
• Heating and air conditioning.
• Performs line maintenance welding and fabrication.
• Safely provides road service to keep equipment operational.
