Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis, refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulic and air brake systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, and drive trains.

The role includes on-site and road service, with opportunities for training on new technologies and advancement within a stable industry. Responsibilities also cover welding, capturing malfunctions with electronic tools, and completing

Qualifications

Diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
Experience with maintenance on Class 1-5 light/medium/heavy trucks (Class 7-8), aircraft, or ships.
ASE certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
CDL is a plus but not required.
5+ years in a technician role or will graduate from automotive college/tech school within 3 months.
Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

Maintain knowledge and skill to perform preventative and repair maintenance on vehicle components and systems, on-site and on the road.
Repair and maintenance of chassis components, refuse bodies and braking systems.
Perform light engine work, suspension, drivetrain, and steering repairs.
Service heating/air conditioning and perform welding/fabrication.
Provide road service when needed to return equipment to operation safely.
