Job summary

Chick-fil-A, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician—Class B to service tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and liftgates. The role focuses on safe, timely repairs and preventive maintenance to maximize equipment availability for delivery operations.

The ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma or GED with 2 years of relevant experience, EPA licenses within 6 months, and the ability to work nights and weekends. Basic hand tools and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
• EPA 608 & EPA 609 Licenses must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Technician must provide basic hand tools.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing brake systems (air and hydraulic).
• Knowledge of diesel engines and ability to perform repairs.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems and repairs under supervision.
• Knowledge of hydraulic liftgates and capable of repairs.
• Able to walk, stand long hours, and lift 30–60 lbs (up to 100 lbs occasionally).
• Capable of following instructions and working independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and varying shifts.
• Proficient in English for reading, writing, and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow Chick-fil-A safety standards in all duties.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems.
• Document repairs and work orders in the Fleet Maintenance Management System.
• Close out work orders timely with required information.
• Repair delivery equipment, tractors, trailers, and related equipment.
• Maintain and repair material handling equipment; inspect brakes and suspension.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tractors, trailers, liftgates, refrigeration, and related equipment.
• Diagnose fleet issues using tools such as Cummins InSite, Eaton Road Ranger, Bendix ACON, Carrier E-solutions.
• Use hand and power tools; raise trucks with hydraulic jacks or hoists.
• Communicate problems to Supervisor; maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Work with transportation team on driver training and safety events.
