Job summary

Chick-fil-A Frisco Lakes & Chick-fil-A Windsong & 380 is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician (Class B) to sustain delivery equipment, including tractors, trailers, and liftgates. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and document all work in our maintenance system.

The role requires 2 years of relevant experience, EPA licenses within 6 months, and the ability to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of relevant work experience required.
• Must acquire EPA 608 & EPA 609 licenses within 6 months of hire.
• Tech must provide basic hand tools.
• Proficient in diagnostics and repair of brake systems (air & hydraulic).
• Working knowledge of diesel engines and be able to perform all diesel repairs.
• Working knowledge of refrigeration systems and repairs under supervision.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic liftgates and related repairs.
• Able to walk extensively and stand 8–10 hours.
• Able to lift 30–60 lbs, up to 100 lbs occasionally; push/pull 300 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Follow Chick-fil-A safety standards in all tasks.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems.
• Document repairs and work orders in the Fleet Maintenance Management System.
• Close out work orders promptly with accurate information.
• Repair delivery equipment, tractors, trailers, and liftgates.
• Inspect braking, steering, suspension components for safe operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tractors, trailers, liftgates, and refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose repairs using Fleet Maintenance tools and software.
• Communicate problems to Supervisor promptly.
• Adhere to traffic laws and company procedures.
• Document maintenance activities and repairs clearly.
• Use MS Office for reporting and record-keeping.
• Train other employees and mentor teammates.
• Support transportation ops with quarterly driver training.
