Zusammenfassung

Chick-fil-A is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician—Class B in Texas to service heavy duty tractors, trailers, and related equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical/electrical issues, and document repairs in the FMMS while ensuring safety standards are met.

The role requires experience in diesel engines, refrigeration, and hydraulic liftgates, with the ability to work independently and train others. Night, weekend, and shift work may be required.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Must acquire EPA 608 & EPA 609 Licenses within 6 months of hire.
• Tech must have provide basic hand tools.
• Proficient in diagnostics and repair of brake systems (air and hydraulic).
• Working knowledge of diesel engines and repairs.
• Working knowledge of refrigeration systems and repairs.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic liftgates and repairs.

Aufgaben

• Follow Chick-fil-A safety standards in all tasks.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems.
• Document repairs and complete work orders in the Fleet Maintenance Management System.
• Close out work orders promptly with required details.
• Repair delivery equipment, tractors, trailers, and lifts.
• Inspect brake, steering, and suspension systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tractors, trailers, lifts, refrigeration, and material equipment.
• Diagnose fleet issues using tools like Cummins InSite, Eaton Road Ranger, Bendix ACON, Davie 4, Carrier E-solutions.
• Raise trucks with hydraulic jacks or hoists.
• Communicate problems to Supervisor.
• Adhere to FMCSA guidelines.
• Operate company vehicle for roadside service if needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Train and mentor other employees.
• Work with transportation team on quarterly driver training and safety events.
• Other duties as assigned.
