Job summary

Chick-fil-A, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician—Class B to service heavy tractors, refrigerated units, and trailers for delivery operations.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and maintain thorough documentation in the Fleet Maintenance Management System. The role requires 2 years of relevant experience, EPA licenses within 6 months, and the ability to work nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• EPA 608 & EPA 609 Licenses within 6 months of hire.
• Tech must provide basic hand tools.
• Diagnostics and repair of brake systems (air and hydraulic).
• Knowledge of diesel engines and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to lift heavy items and work in a mobile operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties following Chick-fil-A safety standards.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems.
• Document repairs and work orders in the Fleet Maintenance Management System.
• Repair tractors, trailers, and delivery equipment as needed.
• Inspect brakes, steering, suspension for safe operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, liftgates, refrigeration.
• Diagnose fleet issues using tools and software, maintain records.
• Operate tools and assist with roadside service calls when required.
• Mentor other employees and assist with driver safety training.
