Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to oversee a maintenance shop and a team of technicians responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs of diesel and alternative fuel trucks, containers and other heavy equipment.

You will schedule work, ensure safety and compliance with federal and state regulations, mentor technicians, perform quality checks, manage inventories and budgets, and coordinate with the Maintenance Manager to keep operations productive.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in maintenance working with heavy equipment.
• 1 year of supervisory experience in a lead technician role, supervisor or other management role requiring a thorough knowledge of

Responsabilités

• Provide direction to lead technicians to ensure all repair and maintenance work is performed safely, efficiently and timely.
• Monitor operational performance and redirect activities as needed.
• Report to management on performance and recommend process improvements.
• Supervise shop technicians, conduct daily huddles, coach/train, participate in hiring/termination decisions, and evaluate performance.
• Inspect outside repairs to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory procedures.
• Identify training opportunities and discuss corrective actions with technicians.
• Conduct Quality Control Inspections and track issue resolution.
• Oversee diagnostic repairs and road tests as necessary.
• Oversee inventory control and budgeting; approve expenses within scope.
• Maintain advanced knowledge of engines, emissions, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems, HVAC, welding.
• Manage payroll, records, and use of maintenance software; set department goals aligned with leadership.
