Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to oversee a maintenance shop, lead a technician team, and ensure maintenance of trucks, containers and heavy equipment in accordance with safety and regulatory standards.

You will plan repairs, monitor performance, and coach staff. The role requires hands-on leadership, budgeting, and coordination with management to optimize productivity and safety at the site.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in maintenance working with heavy equipment.
• 1 year of supervisory experience in a lead technician or management role.
• Strong knowledge of DOT, OSHA and applicable federal/state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to lead technicians and assigned work groups to ensure safe, efficient repairs and maintenance.
• Conduct daily shop huddles and fleet walks; coach and train staff; participate in hiring/termination decisions with HR.
• Review outside repairs for compliance with safety procedures and regulations; conduct quality control inspections.
