Job summary

Republic Services seeks a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead a technician team in a busy maintenance shop, ensuring preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment are performed safely and efficiently. You will direct daily shop activities, coach technicians, and coordinate with management on performance, training, and corrective actions.

The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and cost control, with responsibility for scheduling, diagnostics, and ensuring quality control

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. (implied as minimum).
• 3 years of maintenance experience with heavy equipment.
• 1 year of supervisory experience with lead technician or management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to technicians to ensure safe, efficient and timely repair work.
• Monitor performance, report to management, and recommend process improvements.
• Oversee shop safety, training, hiring decisions, and performance evaluations.
• Inspect outside repairs for compliance with safety and regulations.
• Manage inventory, budget, and maintenance records in the shop.
