Job summary

WM is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of fleet technicians and oversee the maintenance of ~100 vehicles and assets. You will manage daily shop operations, assign and prioritize repairs, and ensure work meets safety and regulatory standards.

The role emphasizes coaching, performance development, safety, and uptime, partnering with operations to minimize downtime and keep fleet ready to meet customer demand. Schedule: full-time, 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (accredited).
• 4 years of relevant work experience. (in addition to education requirements)
• Driver's License Valid Driver's License Upon Hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the day-to-day operations of employees in the maintenance shop.
• Coordinates and supervises all maintenance work and repairs, and monitors progress and quality.
• Reviews driver repairs and other maintenance requests and prepares work order documents.
• Performs mechanical duties as needed.
• Monitors inventory of replacement parts and restocks as needed.
• Oversees personnel including coaching, training, evaluating employee performance, and disciplinary action as needed. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
• Interprets and ensures consistent application of organizational policies and safety regulations.
• Creates and submits reports as necessary.

Job Summary

The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor provides direct leadership and oversight for a team of fleet technicians, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely maintenance of a fleet of approximately 100 vehicles and equipment assets. This role is responsible for supervising daily shop operations, managing workflow, assigning and prioritizing repair and preventive maintenance tasks, and ensuring all work is completed in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor coaches, develops, and supports technician performance while maintaining a strong focus on safety, productivity, quality, and vehicle uptime. This position partners closely with operations and transportation leadership to minimize equipment downtime and ensure fleet readiness to meet customer and business demands.

Schedule: Full-Time, 2nd Shift, Monday through Friday beginning at 1:00 PM, with every other Saturday as required.

Pay: The expected base pay range for this office/on-site position is $80,877 - $95,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location
