Job summary

General Services Administration (GSA) seeks an Equipment Specialist to act as front-line monitor for the national vehicle maintenance program. This role requires coordinating maintenance, reviewing repair estimates for cost effectiveness, and liaising with manufacturers for warranted repairs.

The position includes duties at GS-09 and GS-11 levels with responsibilities across maintenance control and vendor management.

Qualifications

• Experience in coordinating vehicle maintenance and repairs across a large fleet.
• Ability to review repair estimates for cost effectiveness and contract compliance.
• Ability to negotiate with vendors and resolve issues with contractors and manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for MCC and guide customers and contractors.
• Make technical and analytical determinations on repair scopes and costs.
• Use data systems to generate vehicle reports and maintenance histories.
