Job summary

Barnhart is seeking a Maintenance Controller in Memphis, TN to oversee daily fleet maintenance across multiple branches. You will plan, track, and execute maintenance work while supporting branch teams and driving consistency in our maintenance program.

The ideal candidate brings strong organizational and communication skills, experience in fleet maintenance or equipment management, and proficiency with Excel.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and coordination skills are required.
• Experience in fleet maintenance or equipment management is preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Office is expected.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor day-to-day fleet maintenance activities across multiple branches
• Track maintenance schedules, work orders, and asset readiness to ensure minimal downtime
• Partner with branch maintenance teams to prioritize and execute maintenance work
• Maintain accurate records within maintenance systems, ensuring data integrity and visibility
• Support compliance efforts related to DOT, safety, and quality standards
• Assist in developing and maintaining preventive maintenance schedules
• Collaborate with Fleet Services, Safety & Quality, and DOT Compliance teams
• Identify and elevate maintenance issues impacting operations
• Support reporting and analysis of maintenance KPIs and performance metrics
• Assist with onboarding and integration during branch acquisitions
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Maintenance Director
