Job summary

Barnhart Crane & Rigging is seeking a Maintenance Controller to oversee fleet maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution across multiple branches. The role emphasizes data accuracy, safety compliance, and collaboration with operations teams.

You will coordinate work orders, monitor asset readiness, and drive maintenance KPIs while supporting branch acquisitions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in maintenance, logistics, or operations.
• Experience in fleet maintenance, equipment management, or similar field preferred.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day fleet maintenance activities across multiple branches.
• Track maintenance schedules, work orders, and asset readiness to minimize downtime.
• Partner with branch teams to prioritize and execute maintenance work.
• Maintain accurate records within maintenance systems and ensure data integrity.
• Support compliance related to DOT, safety, and quality standards.
• Assist in developing and maintaining preventive maintenance schedules.
• Collaborate with Fleet Services, Safety & Quality, and DOT Compliance teams.
• Identify and escalate maintenance issues impacting operations.
• Support reporting and analysis of maintenance KPIs and performance metrics.
• Assist with onboarding during branch acquisitions.
