Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking an experienced Manager, Fleet to oversee all aspects of fleet maintenance, safety, service, and cost control. You will lead technicians, ensure compliance with regulations, and drive reliable fleet operations to support customers.

You will hire and train staff, manage budgets and purchasing, coordinate with drivers, and report on fleet performance weekly and yearly. A strong background in DOT/OSHA regulations and Thermo King certifications is required, with at least

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of fleet equipment experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the fleet maintenance function and ensure a safe work environment for employees.
• Interview, hire, and train all fleet technicians; schedule schooling and certification courses and provide evaluations.
• Ensure vehicles meet service recommendations; document certifications and collaborate with fleet teams.
• Manage purchasing, warranties, capital improvement requests, and parts inventory; manage budgeting.
• Coordinate with drivers to service specialized equipment and arrange repair bids as needed.
• Produce weekly, periodical, and yearly fleet reports and compliance documentation.
