Job summary

Republic Services is hiring a Maintenance Clerk to provide administrative support for the maintenance function. The role involves ensuring parts availability, managing fleet inventory, and entering data into the fleet system daily.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of general office experience and related maintenance/trucking exposure. This on-site position offers benefits and opportunities within a large environmental services company.

Qualifications

• 1 year of general office experience or equivalent training.
• Related experience in a maintenance / trucking industry.

Responsibilities

• Ensures availability of parts in a cost-effective manner.
• Maintains fleet records on inventory levels, PM schedules, and corrective maintenance.
• Inputs fleet information into the computerized fleet management system daily.
• May act as a point of contact with vendors to order, receive and pay for goods and services.
• Prepares truck purchase orders for management approval, including GL code assignment.
• Receives, tags, stocks and dispenses parts to mechanics per policy and procedures.
• Reviews purchase orders with accounting to ensure accuracy of invoices.
• Produces productivity and usage reports for management review.
• Supports the Fleet Manager with data analysis of fleet operations reports and resolves data errors.
• May assist with parts organization and inventory.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
