Job summary

Republic Services in Tampa, FL is seeking a Maintenance Clerk to provide administrative support to the maintenance function. The role involves ensuring parts availability, maintaining fleet records, and entering data into the fleet management system to help optimize operations.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of general office experience and related maintenance/trucking industry exposure, with strong attention to detail and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Maintenance/trucking industry experience is required.
• At least 1 year of general office experience or equivalent training.
• Familiarity with fleet management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assures the availability of parts in a cost-effective manner.
• Maintains fleet records on inventory levels, preventive maintenance schedules, and corrective maintenance performed on all units.
• Inputs fleet information into the computerized fleet management system daily.
• Acts as a point of contact with vendors to order, receive and ensure payment for goods and services.
• Prepares truck purchase orders for management approval, including GL code assignments.
• Receives, tags, stocks and dispenses parts to mechanics per policy.
• Reviews purchase orders with accounting for accuracy and proper payment.
• Produces productivity and usage reports for management review.
• Follows safety policies and participates with the team to meet safety goals.
• Reconciles dossier financial data to Lawson GL.
• Supports the Fleet Manager with analysis of fleet operation reports and data quality.
• May assist with parts organization and inventory.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
