Job summary

Anne Arundel County – Central Services Department is seeking a supervisor to direct the repair and maintenance of automotive and related equipment in the county garage. You will plan, organize, and schedule work for a team of skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled workers, and ensure accurate records and cost control.

Responsibilities include diagnosing defects, inspecting completed jobs, approving repairs, training staff, and coordinating with departments for vehicle replacements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of progressive automotive maintenance and repair experience, including supervisory duties.
• Valid non-commercial Class C driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and schedule repair and maintenance work for county automotive and related equipment.
• Direct a crew of skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled workers and ensure timely completion of jobs.
• Inspect and test completed work, maintain records and prepare reports.
• Coach and train staff in shop practices and safety procedures.
