Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in fleet, equipment, or related operations.
• Experience owning vehicles, equipment, tools, or inventory.
• Strong organizational skills with practical tracking systems.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and safety awareness.
• Experience coordinating repairs with outside vendors.
• Proficient with spreadsheets, email, calendars, and basic business software.
• Clear communication and ability to reinforce standards.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Comfort indoors/outdoors around equipment and tools.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Preferred: small-engine repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Fleet and trailer readiness: Inspect vehicles, track service intervals, maintain records, and coordinate preventive maintenance.
• Equipment maintenance: Oversee mowers, engines, tools, forklifts; arrange repairs as needed.
• Shop and yard organization: Establish labeled storage and procedures for tools and materials.
• Inventory control: Track assignments, parts, consumables, and materials; manage stock levels.
• Crew support: Ensure trucks and gear are ready for morning departures and prep for next day.
• Safety and accountability: Document inspections, remove unsafe equipment, coach crews on care.
• Vendor coordination: Schedule service, arrange transport, follow up on repairs and costs.
• Records and facility support: Maintain logs, warranties, manuals, inventory; keep facilities organized.
