Job summary

Presidio Trust seeks an Equipment Maintenance Lead to manage a diverse fleet across the Park Maintenance Department in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain gasoline, diesel, and electric equipment, overseeing parts, documentation, and vendor coordination.

This full-time role reports to the Heavy Mobile Equipment Supervisor and supports operations with reliable uptime. Responsibilities include planning repairs, supervising the shop, and ensuring proper records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or trade program desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of lead-level shop experience coordinating maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on a broad fleet, from handheld to heavy equipment.
• Coordinate in-house and outside vendor repairs; manage parts, scheduling, and downtime.
• Maintain maintenance records, history, and vendor communications; ensure safe, organized shop operations.
