Job summary

Day & Ross is seeking a Driver Manager in York, PA, to lead a fleet of drivers and ensure safe, on-time deliveries for a diverse customer base. This full-time role covers 3rd shift (Mon-Fri 7:00 PM–5:00 AM) or Night Shift (Mon-Fri 10:00 PM–6:30 AM) in York, PA.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with logistics experience preferred.
4-year college degree preferred but not required.
Knowledge and experience in Transportation is required.
Previous supervision/operational experience necessary.

Responsibilities

Multitask effectively to manage driver operations.
Build relationships, communicate clearly, recognize performance, and address issues.
Provide complete load information including routing and directions.
Coach drivers on time management, departures, and hours of service.
Assist drivers with on-board ELD systems and HOS compliance.
Monitor on-board ELD messaging and TMS data for accuracy.
Maintain driver, trips, and customer records in the TMS system.
Handle phone and email communications from drivers and customers.
Ensure adherence to DOT regulations and company policies.
Understand driver pay structure and process time-off requests.
Document driver discussions regarding performance.
