Job summary

Resource Transport LLC is seeking a Manager, Fleet Operations to lead Appalachia-based drivers across day and night shifts, coordinate schedules, and ensure DOT compliance. This role reports to the Manager, Operations and partners with Dispatch, HR, Safety, and Operations to support safe, on-time frac sand deliveries.

Ideal candidates bring at least 5 years in trucking/logistics, strong leadership, and knowledge of Hours of Service rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in trucking, transportation, or logistics operations, including direct driver management.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service, and safety compliance requirements.
• Proven leadership and people-management skills with the ability to manage drivers across multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead Appalachia-based drivers on day and night shifts, and stay available after hours to support night operations.
• Manage driver schedules, assignments, and shift coverage to meet customer demand within DOT Hours of Service rules.
• Monitor driver HOS and logs and address violations and reset needs.
• Act as the main point of contact for drivers and coordinate with Dispatch to ensure timely frac sand deliveries.
• Work with HR and Recruiting to forecast driver needs and support hiring, onboarding, and training.
• Keep drivers compliant with company policy, safety standards, and regulations, including discipline when needed.
• Coordinate with Safety and Operations on incident investigations and process improvements.
• Maintain accurate driver records for schedules, compliance, and performance.
• Engage with carrier partners on onboarding, performance and SLA compliance, and contract renewals.
