Job summary

Day & Ross Inc. in New Oxford, PA, seeks a Driver Manager for the 1st shift (Mon–Fri 5:00 AM–2:00 PM). You will oversee a fleet of drivers and trucks to ensure safe, on-time deliveries and profitability, while enforcing company policy and DOT regulations.

You will lead driver teams, manage load routing and scheduling, coach on performance, and maintain accurate records in the TMS/ELD systems. Excellent communication and supervision skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Transportation/logistics experience preferred.
• Experience supervising front-line staff.
• Experience leading remote teams.
• Familiarity with DOT rules and regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• MS Office proficiency; SAP small business a plus.
• Knowledge of TMS and PeopleNet.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a high transactional environment.

Responsibilities

• Multitask effectively.
• Build driver relationships and address issues promptly.
• Provide complete load information including routing.
• Coach drivers on on-time delivery and HOS compliance.
• Assist drivers with ELD systems.
• Monitor on-board ELD messages.
• Maintain driver, trip, and customer records in the TMS.
• Answer driver and customer phones/emails.
• Monitor TMS for correct trip information.
• Follow established processes and DOT compliance.
• Understand driver pay structure.
• Process time-off requests.
• Document driver performance issues.
• Utilize tools in ELD and TMS per procedures.
• Coordinate weekend dispatch coverage.
