Job summary

Nutrition 101 LLC is seeking a Fleet Dispatcher & Logistics Coordinator in Pendleton, IN. You will plan, coordinate, and execute daily movement of company assets while securing third-party capacity. Lead drivers, manage carriers, and optimize routes to balance safety, service, productivity, and cost.

Role requires coordinating with customers and internal teams and maintaining DOT compliance. Training, on-call support, and on-site work are expected; a CDL is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of dispatch or logistics coordination experience in transportation or industrial setting.
• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor degree preferred.
• Experience with fleet scheduling, route optimization, and load planning is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to manage communications with CDL drivers and fleet operations.
• Proficiency in dispatching software, TMS, GPS tracking, and MS Office.
• Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and driver hours of service rules.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily driver and fleet assignments through dispatch planning.
• Maintain situational awareness of logistics and support operations as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service through proactive communication.
• Maintain vehicle records and DOT inspection reports per requirements.
• Represent the company with customers and carriers; maintain billing rates.
• Support training initiatives on DOT/FMCSA regulations and safety practices.
• Make critical decisions to ensure efficient operations under pressure.
• Attend required meetings and training programs; mentor team members.
• Maximize asset utilization and supplement capacity with third-party carriers.
• Source, negotiate, and manage transportation providers when needed.
• Develop strong relationships with carriers, customers, and stakeholders.
• Assist with rate development, carrier negotiations, and cost management.
• Ensure accurate load, carrier, customer, and billing information in systems.
• Monitor carrier performance and service levels against standards.
• Collaborate to improve transportation efficiency and freight spend.
