Job summary

Waste-Pro is seeking a Dispatcher in Florida to coordinate with drivers, respond to service orders, schedule routes, and resolve route and service issues. You will maintain driver-home base communications and enter daily routing data.

You will plan and assign routes for residential, commercial and roll-off services, monitor tickets, and ensure timely service while communicating with customers and Sales staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with at least 6 months related work experience.
• Experience in waste, transportation, or logistics preferred.
• Customer service experience in a call center environment preferred.
• Good telephone and two-way radio skills; ability to interact professionally with customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain contact between drivers and home base and dispatch drivers to calls.
• Assign routes and service tickets to drivers and close tickets daily.
• Plan and monitor daily route assignments for residential, roll-off and commercial drivers.
• Troubleshoot delivery and pickup problems and communicate with drivers and customers.
• Answer incoming calls and provide route information; coordinate with Sales staff.
• Communicate with maintenance shop and act as emergency contact for drivers.
• Enter customer information into databases and close work orders from previous day routes.
• Maintain data in systems like Tower and Trackese; update drivers, trucks and routes.
• Review productivity reports for route supervisors daily.
• Distribute and maintain driver phones/radios and ensure software updates and charging.
• Uniform tracking, timecard review, fuel tickets reconciliation, PPE inventory; prepare Saturday work.
