Job summary

Torc is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Fleet Enablement & Insights team. You will design and implement Python-based tools and data pipelines to optimize autonomous trucking data collection and readiness.

You will build dashboards and collaborate across Fleet Operations, Mapping, and Localization to align data-collection with downstream needs. The role emphasizes production-quality software, data engineering, and geospatial challenges at scale, with opportunities to work at the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience building production-quality data tooling.
• Experience with large-scale data processing and pipelines.
• Familiarity with geospatial data and mapping is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based tools and services for fleet data-collection planning, metrics, and data-readiness pipelines.
• Build and optimize internal tooling to automate route prioritization, data-collection run setup, asset tracking, and data ingestion, validation, and release workflows.
• Develop fleet and data-collection metrics and surface them in live dashboards.
• Contribute to map tooling that validate mapping updates before release.
• Manage and maintain relational and spatial databases for fleet, collection, and mapping datasets.
• Collaborate with Fleet Ops, Mapping, Perception, Localization, and Data Annotation teams.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and cross-team syncs.
