Job summary

Torc Robotics is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer to sit at the center of Torc Sim growth. You will ensure replay/recompute jobs run at scale, make metrics interpretable, and act as the expert on autonomy models for one or two teams.

You will report to Dataloop + Simulation and collaborate with Autonomy teams to translate feedback into concrete data pipeline and integration work, accelerating platform adoption.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related technical field with 4+ years of experience, or Master's with 2+ years.
  • Strong Python skills and experience building or operating data pipelines at scale.
  • Experience with simulation, replay, or model validation.
  • Familiarity with autonomy/robotics ML models and the data they consume.
  • Comfort working across cloud storage and compute.
  • Excellent cross-team communication to translate between platform and embedded teams.
  • A bias toward hands-on problem solving and debugging end-to-end pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the embedded point of contact between Dataloop + Simulation and Autonomy teams to drive Torc Sim adoption.
  • Implement end-to-end data flow: data ops → simulation env → scalable storage.
  • Onboard Autonomy models to run replay/recompute workflows and evaluate metrics.
  • Ensure visualization tooling adoption and propose UI/UX improvements for the backlog.
  • Become domain expert on models (perception, tracking, etc.) to drive integrations.
  • Debug issues spanning data ingestion, simulation execution, storage, and metrics.
  • Translate feedback into concrete roadmap requirements for the platform.
  • Document workflows and onboard new users to scale adoption.
