Job summary

Torc Robotics is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Fleet Enablement & Insights team, building our in-house annotation platform for multi-sensor autonomous truck data. You will craft a high-performance 2D/3D editor, fuse HD map data, and enable end-to-end labeling workflows powering ML at scale.

The role focuses on scalable web technologies, data visualization, and production-grade services, with collaboration across Data Annotation, Autonomy/ML, and Data Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in TypeScript and React with production experience.
• Strong background in Python for backend services and APIs.
• Experience with large sensor datasets (point clouds, imagery) and performance-optimized UIs.
• Solid SQL/PostgreSQL skills and experience with AWS hosting and services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a production-grade 2D/3D annotation web app using TypeScript/React.
• Implement high-performance rendering for point clouds and imagery with WebGL/three.js.
• Build backend services for labeling tasks, data storage, QA workflow, and user authentication.
• Integrate pre-labeling / auto-labeling outputs and measure throughput metrics.
• Collaborate with data annotation, ML, and engineering teams to align tooling with user needs.
