Job summary

Dynamic EcoHome in Richardson, Texas is seeking a decisive Fleet & Asset Manager to own and build our fleet and asset-management function across Dallas–Fort Worth and Houston. This role requires leading strategy, readiness, maintenance, compliance, driver accountability, and lifecycle planning with no direct reports but significant cross‑functional influence.

You will establish scalable systems, set clear standards, and drive cost efficiency while maintaining audit-ready records.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of progressive fleet, equipment, transportation, automotive-service, field-operations, or asset-management experience.
• Demonstrated experience independently owning a fleet or fleet-management function.
• Experience supporting a multi-location fleet in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Proven ability to build or significantly improve fleet systems, policies, reporting, controls, and operating processes.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, vehicle inspections, accident management, repairs, fleet compliance, and asset lifecycle planning.
• Experience using telematics, GPS tracking, fleet-management software, and driver-monitoring platforms.
• Demonstrated success negotiating with vendors and reducing fleet-related costs.
• Experience managing fleet budgets, vehicle acquisition, leasing, rentals, and asset disposal.
• Strong business judgment and the ability to make timely decisions without constant direction.

Responsibilities

• Own the fleet strategy and regional development across markets.
• Establish policies, systems, controls, reporting, and standards for scalable growth.
• Ensure vehicle readiness, maintenance, compliance, and driver accountability.
• Coordinate fleet readiness and deployment across markets.
• Develop and track fleet-performance metrics and cost per vehicle.
• Respond to breakdowns, accidents, and urgent fleet issues.
• Maintain audit-ready fleet records and documentation.
