Job summary

SMUD's Fleet Asset Coordinator in Sacramento, CA is an on-site, full-time position within the Fleet department. You will manage fleet assets, budgets, schedules, and vehicle replacements, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations and standards.

The successful candidate will lead fleet projects, coordinate with managers, oversee procurement, and monitor maintenance plans using SAP, with a focus on optimizing cost and performance for SMUD's transportation fleet.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Five or more years in fleet operations and SAP.
• Valid California driver\'s license.
• Knowledge of fleet regulations and environmental rules.
• Experience with asset management and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Performs fleet management and coordination functions related to acquisition and replacement of fleet assets.
• Develops and obtains management approval of transportation projects and program management plans.
• Develops and monitors annual fleet capital budget and reports on variances.
• Directs and coordinates staff and manufacturing teams to ensure on-schedule, on-budget project execution.
• Coordinates with environmental agencies to evaluate policies and develop recommendations for SMUD fleet operations.
