Fairmont Pittsburgh is seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to greet guests on arrival, escort to tables and manage the entrance with warmth and efficiency.

You will balance the reservation system, assist with phone inquiries, keep track of table status, and uphold Fairmont and hotel standards while delivering outstanding guest service.

• Provide service within Fairmont and Hotel Standards.
• Aware of all business within hotel on a daily basis and able to guide guests accordingly.
• Follow opening and closing procedures daily.
• Assist Restaurant Managers as assigned.
• Follow and adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Description

Qualifications

Your Experience and Skills Include:

• Previous experience is an asset
• Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong guest service orientation
• Able to balance a variety of conflicting priorities while providing guest service
• Must have calm and warm manner
• Be able to work flexible hours including mid-shift, weekends, and holidays

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to)

• Constant walking and standing during shift
• May occasionally exert up to 25 pounds lift, carry, push, or pull objects

Visa Requirements

Must have proof of valid U.S. work authorization.
