Job summary

Fairmont Pittsburgh, a 4 diamond LEED certified luxury hotel, invites you to join as a Banquet Attendant. You will work as part of a team to deliver memorable events, serving all food and beverage items and ensuring guest satisfaction in a luxury setting.

The role requires at least 1 year of Food & Beverage experience, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in Food and Beverage, preferably at a luxury property.
• Previous point of sale system experience an asset
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
• Must focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Responsibilities

• Assist with set up and tear down of tables and chairs as needed
• Serve all food and beverage items for assigned banquet meetings
• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Responsible service of alcohol
• Have full knowledge of beverage lists
• Have full knowledge of all menu items being served
• Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Other duties as assigned

What You Will Be Doing:

• Assist with set up and tear down of tables and chairs as needed
• Serve all food and beverage items for assigned banquet meetings

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Constant lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
