Job summary

Fairmont Pittsburgh is seeking a Guest Services host who greets arriving guests and assists in the lobby with a warm, professional demeanor. You will manage doors, luggage, and guest movement while maintaining an impeccable lobby environment.

Ideal candidates have front desk or luxury-property experience, a valid driver’s license, and outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to ensure exceptional service and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in front desk or guest services is preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Experience in luxury property is an asset.
• Ability to prioritize and fulfill guest requests.

Responsibilities

• Provide all arriving guests with a warm welcome.
• Open/close lobby doors and assist guests at arrival and departure.
• Keep the lobby area impeccable at all times.
• Assist guests with luggage and luggage storage.
• Escort guests to their destinations within the hotel.
• Support front office with check-ins/outs as needed.
• Coordinate with transportation services for guests.
• Participate in colleague briefings and meetings.
• Deliver professional, engaging and friendly service.
• Follow standards and procedures.

Job Description

What You Will Be Doing:

Provides all arriving guests with a warm welcome

Act as first/last point of contact for guest, opening/closing car and Hotel Lobby doors, includes bidding farewell

Keeping Door area and Lobby impeccable at all times

Utilizing Guest Name in all interactions

Knowledgeable on Pittsburgh – Attractions, Directions, Cultural Scene,etc

Assists guests with luggage and secured luggage storage

Maintains relationships with limousine and cab services

Escorts guests to their destinations within the hotel

Assists front office team with check-ins/outs as needed

Reviews daily reports, group resumes and ensures execution of allspecial requirements

Acts as Lobby ambassador throughout shift – providing thoughtful touches for our guests

Participates in all colleague briefings and formal communication meetings

Follows all established standards and procedures set out by the hotel and the department

Consistently offers professional,engagingand friendly service

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your Skills and Qualifications Include:

Previousexperience is an asset

Must have valid Driver’s License

PreviousExperience in a luxury property an asset

Ability to prioritize and execute guest requests through strong organizational skills

Excellent interpersonal skills, withgreat communicationability

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

Constant standing and walking throughout shifts.

Exertingup to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and /or up to 25 pounds of forcefrequentlyor constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
