Job summary

SSA Marine seeks an Accounting Manager, Fixed Assets to lead fixed asset accounting and capitalization governance across its global operations. You will manage a team, coordinate month-end processes, and partner with senior leadership on capital investments.

This role ensures GAAP compliance, consolidates fixed asset reporting, maintains internal controls, and drives process improvements while supporting major projects from CIP through transfer to service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
• 7+ years of accounting experience including fixed asset accounting and capitalization in a multi-entity environment.
• 3+ years of leading accounting or finance professionals.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and capitalization policies.
• Experience with consolidated financial reporting and intercompany accounting.
• Proficiency with Excel and financial systems like Blackline/Hyperion.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and coach a team of accounting professionals in fixed asset accounting and capitalization.
• Maintain capitalization policies and governance standards across the organization.
• Oversee fixed asset activities including additions, transfers, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations.
• Lead month-end and year-end close for fixed assets with accurate reporting.
• Coordinate intercompany and related-party fixed asset transactions.
• Prepare consolidated fixed asset reporting and related analyses.
• Develop and monitor fixed asset internal controls; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee fixed asset audits and respond to inquiries.
