Job summary

Atrium Staffing is partnering with a manufacturing client to identify a Senior Accountant – Fixed Assets to join the corporate accounting team. The role focuses on Global Fixed Asset & Lease Accounting, including capital investments, depreciation, and related reporting.

You will collaborate with plant operations, engineering, and finance to ensure accurate fixed asset accounting in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on automation and system improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 2–5+ years of accounting experience, with fixed asset focus preferred.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and general ledger.
• Experience with fixed asset accounting and ASC 842.
• ERP experience (JDE or SAP) is a plus.
• Experience with BlackLine is a plus.
• Proficient Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups).
• Interest in AI tools such as Copilot is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage fixed asset accounting activities including capitalization, transfers, retirements, depreciation, and CIP.
• Collaborate with plant engineering, operations, and finance on capital projects.
• Support lease accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Prepare and record journal entries and accruals per US GAAP and company policies.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Analyze financial results and identify key drivers.
• Assist audits with schedules and documentation.
• Support ERP implementations and process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
